From the mat of Coach Cataline Great job this year! Congratulations to all of you on your first year as Eleanor Roosevelt Mustang Wrestlers. I want to thank each and every one of the wrestlers, boosters, parents, supporting school staff and our coaches for a job well done with our very first year in the Mountain View League. We have started a winning wrestling tradition at Eleanor Roosevelt by having two Varsity League Champions and one Junior Varsity League Champion in our very first year. We also had three third place finishers at Varsity for a total of five wrestlers qualifying for CIF. As well as a fourth & fifth place finish at Girls CIF. This is an amazing accomplishment from all of you, Great job! I would like to improve on this tradition with a strong showing of freestyle wrestling in our club over the next year. By being a part of the freestyle club you will accomplish your goals and become a very important part of our wrestling team in the future. While others take time off or go to other sports, I would like to see all of you training at least twice a week in the freestyle wrestling club. This will improve your wrestling greatly as well as enhance your performance in other sports. With the help from all of the wrestlers, boosters and parents, Eleanor Roosevelt can and will become a great wrestling school that we can all be proud of. I am honored to say, we, together as a team, were the forerunners of a long standing tradition, that many student athletes at Eleanor Roosevelt will admire years from now. Again, I am very excited and proud of each on of you who participated and gave it your all in this very tough and demanding sport of wrestling. I believe in all of my wrestlers and you can and will be very successful in life because of your hard work ad dedication in this great sport. I ask each and every wrestler on the team to talk with a friend in the school and invite them into the club, so they can experience what you have already accomplished. This sport of wrestling requires that you train like a champion on the mat so you become a champion in life, To all of you, again I say Great Job! "Wrestler's of today become leaders in their community tomorrow" Coach Cataline |
