Congratulations everyone on making the ERHS Mustangs Wrestling team this year! Welcome to all of you, new and returning wrestlers. Now let’s get serious about our wrestling this year. If you haven’t figured it out yet, wrestling is a very rough and demanding sport. A lot of hard work and dedication must be put into every practice. Who wants to become part of a growing tradition here at ERHS Mustangs wrestling country? To all returning wrestlers, varsity ad JV, “no one’s spot is safe” so make your training partners train everyday at a high intense level with respect to each other. Demand that they learn and train hard every moment they are on the mat. Put the hard work in now so that you reap the rewards down the line this season. “Don’t complain, train and suffer in silence”. Who will have the heart this season to become our next champions? Don’t be satisfied with average. No one is average on this team, so step up and rise to the demands of the team to become the next champion for Eleanor Roosevelt Mustangs Wrestling. Remember it is your individual responsibility to maintain good grades, great attitude and excellent attendance on the team. If you need help ask someone who can help you. Also, remember, academic training is always on Monday and Wednesday nights 5:00pm - 6:30pm. Be there. Good luck this season. But if you put in the time, luck will have nothing to do with it.
