Coach’s Corner

On December 21st & 22nd our Mustang’s Varsity Wrestling Team traveled to Carter High School for the “Duals in the Den” Tournament. The two day Varsity team competition was very tough and grueling. Through all the black eyes, broken fingers, bumps and bruises our varsity wrestlers were victorious going undefeated with a record of 8-0 to become the overall Tournament Champions.

Every varsity team member stepped up and battled like the champions I knew you could become. Several of you are getting closer to the twenty pin club along with your varsity letters. Let’s continue to challenge ourselves and battle to victory every time we step on the mat.   How exciting it was for us to hear our team announced as the champions of the tournament and having your family and friends all there to witness your success. Great job guys keep up the hard work and more championships will be in your near future.   The memories you all made this weekend will be remembered for your entire life. I look forward to many more together.   Our overall dual record is now 11-1 and we all know who’s next for duals. Let’s continue to show the wrestling community who Eleanor Roosevelt Wrestling is and remember “Train hard and suffer in silence”.

Great job now let’s get ready for the Blackwatch Tournament in Upland this next weekend and our next league dual.
