Brute Invitational (Results)

On Friday and Saturday December 12th and 13th the varsity team went to the Brute Invitational wrestling tournament.  When the dust settled on early Saturday evening, Eleanor Roosevelt Mustangs Wrestling became the tournament champions.  Scoring 267.0 points, 90+ points more than the second place team.

 

We had thirteen placers with three champions at 135 pounds (Cataline), 145 pounds (Harper), and 215 pounds (Fuentes).  I am very proud of each and every one of you who fought for two days as a team.

 

During the two day battle we amassed 38 pins overall and showed everyone we are a championship pinning team.  You should feel proud of this accomplishment and enjoy the awesome feeling of success you earned over the two day event.

Remember, this sport is very unforgiving.  What you did yesterday does not guarantee you success tomorrow.  So train hard and get ready for the challenges that await us in the near future this season.

 

I know you all will be successful this season but you must first believe in yourself.  I know I push each and every one of you, “sometimes very hard”, but remember, I already know you are successful and have a championship heart.  You, must believe it also, for it to work.

 

Keep up the great job and remember, “win and loose the same way, like a champion”.
