Mustangs vs. Centennial Huskies

On Wednesday night, December 17th, we hosted Centennial H.S. four our Big Eight League wrestling dual meet.

While our overflow tied Centennial and our JV squad won a close dual, our varsity team struggled and fell short loosing by a score of 21  -  49.  This  was our first loss of the season and hopefully our last.  I know everyone is down from this loss but I believe we can learn and grow from this.

I believe if we continue on the path we are on, we will become victorious in our quest to beat Centennial and anyone else who stands in our way.  It will require that the team become a single unit and follow the program taught by the coaching staff.

If you are not satisfied with how you are performing on the mat, take a good look at why things are not going your way.  I am and will be there each and every step of the way with all of you in your quest to become champions in the sport of wrestling.

I ask each of you to step forward from this loss and make the decision to learn from it.  I promise you I will do my part as well.  Our next goal is the Upland Black Watch Tournament on Monday December 29th and  Tuesday December 30th at Upland H.S.  Last year we placed 4th and I know we can improve on that.

You are a championship quality pinning team so let’s show everyone why we are at Blackwatch!
