Welcome

             Here we go again, season number three for the Mustang wrestling team has begun and I can’t wait t see all of the success the team is going to have over the next five months.

 

I would like to first tell my wife, she is amazing and that I love her.  Without her, none of this would be possible.  I thank you for all of your dedication, time, patience and endless hours put into the sport of wrestling.  Not only for our children but for everyone’s children that walk through the wrestling room doors on campus.  Everyone is truly blessed to have you.

 

             The Wildcat Wrestling Club over the summer gave everyone an opportunity to improve their wrestling skills so they can compete at the next level during the high school season.  Many of you took advantage of the club and have improved in many areas of the sport.  Keep up the hard work and it will pay off.

 

The wrestling room is looking fantastic, thanks to Mr. Castro’s artistic talent.  If you want him to paint your name on the wrestling room wall, let’s get busy pinning your opponents and winning League, CIF, Master’s and State titles.  I look forward to the record’s wall filling up over the next few seasons.  So the only question left is who will be the next name to be painted on the wall?

 

             For all of you returning wrestlers, now is the time to showcase your talent and hard work, especially you seniors.  This is your last season as a high school wrestler.  I expect you to not only be team leaders and champions throughout the entire season but to be great role models and mentors for all of the under classmen and the future of our team.

 

             For the Boosters, parents, stats, and everyone else that continues to help.  You are all a very valuable asset to the wrestling team and I thank each and every one of you from the bottom of my heart.  Most people don’t realize the time and effort all of you put into the team, but rest assured, I do and I truly thank you all.

 

             Now it’s show time, let’s get ready to wrestle off, earn our spots and fight for each and every point, win, pin and championship we get this year.  Your are all great individuals and students so now let’s come together and become a great team this year.
